It is a beautiful edition that shouldn’t be missed, and below is a little peek inside the pages for anyone whose yet to order their copy or become a subscriber….

Hands holding the April 2022 edition of interiors magazine 91 Magazine

Recently, I’ve been drawn to ideas of simplicity and simple living – both in terms of the space around me and how I live my life in general. So, naturally this filtered through into my work and became the loose theme for this issue.

In my editor’s letter I said, “Infusing simplicity and slow living into our homes has the power to enhance your time spent there. By only surrounding yourself with the things that make you feel good and taking your time over the process of creating your ideal home, you will find it having a positive effect on your well-being.” We might not always realise it, but our environment has a huge effect on us, so things like unwanted clutter and unsightly objects can have a negative effect. This is not to say we should live in minimal, lifeless spaces, but instead our homes should cocoon us in colours, objects and art which make us feel good.

This issue provides inspiration from people who strive for this kind of lifestyle, designing their homes and workspaces considerately and mindfully. We hear from creative business owners whose ethos is anchored in a simple way of life, creating and selling objects that have provenance, providing joy through functionality, beauty and meaning.

Many of the homes included in this issue are located in cities, proving that the art of slow living is not restricted only to those living in a slow-paced rural setting. In fact, it is us and how we choose to live that creates that sense of a more intentional, simplified life.

One of the things we can all do to experience a few moments of slowness, is putting away our phones, popping the kettle on, and sitting down with a good magazine! So why not order your copy of 91 Magazine and pencil in an afternoon, evening or glorious slow weekend morning to dive in & get inspired!?

There are various ways to purchase your copy. You can buy a 2-issue subscription, which means you will receive this edition and then the October 2022 issue. You can buy it individually, or if you are new to 91, we offer bundles with a few of our previous editions. The magazine is non-seasonal so even editions published last year are still completely relevant and inspirational and I hope you will keep on your coffee table for years to come!
