As we slide slowly into autumn it is that time of year when our next issue is prepping to go to the printers. We’ve been working hard in between school holiday activities and camping trips to make sure it arrives just in time for those cosy autumn afternoons, when all you want to do is light a candle, pour a cuppa and enjoy a good magazine!

Here is the cover of the upcoming issue – Volume 12….

91 Magazine Volume 12 cover

In this issue our theme is PRE-LOVED. When I started blogging way back in 2008, vintage was my first true interior style love. I spent hours at car boot sales and flea markets, filling our home with 50p finds, vintage china and floral fabrics. While my style has evolved over the years, pre-loved objects will always have a place in my home, they are the items I can remember where I bought them, and occasionally how we managed to manoeuvre into our home – no flat pack furniture back then!

We celebrate spaces that embrace imperfection, the time-worn, believing that the past can always have a place in our future, whether it’s a grand story of a building’s former life, or small stories of precious items found during a memorable trip.

Furnishing and styling our homes with secondhand items is one way we can reduce our impact on our planet too, as it suffers under the strain of mass consumerism. This issue provides inspiration on rejuvenating old spaces and demonstrating how to bring narrative and character to your interior with second hand finds. With so many eras to choose from, there is something for everyone and the featured spaces offer a variety of styles to glean ideas from.

From a renovated French chateau to a one bed apartment in south east London, a studio in an old bakery to a neighbourhood store in Oklahoma, the idea of pre-loved is interpreted in many different ways. We share some great sources to purchase vintage goods and even resurrect some pudding recipes from the past!

The issue is now available for PRE-ORDER individually, or you can purchase it as part of a subscription, which includes this issue and the next one (due in April ‘22). Before you get your order in, why not have a sneaky peek at a handful of the beautiful images you’ll find inside this issue…
