No one could have predicted what was coming our way in 2020 and how it may affect all of our lives. It’s been a tough year for everyone, and whilst we’ve had our challenges here at 91, I am incredibly grateful that we have been able to continue publishing, especially as I’ve watched as other have magazines closed. We created this edition throughout the lockdown, starting just as the last one went out in April. The team and our contributors have been incredible, pooling our resources and coming up with ideas to make things work. Despite the challenges, this edition has come together beautifully, and I’m so proud of it!
Our theme is ‘Nurture’ – a word which our team all agreed was resonating with us this year. The crisis we have faced has been a stark reminder that we all need to look after ourselves, our families and our planet. Nothing is more important than health and happiness; not money, not material goods, not status, so it’s time we all shift our focus and concentrate on what really matters.
In this issue we highlight creative people who have well-being as a central part of what they do, we highlight ways to nurture yourself and our fragile planet and touch on some ideas of how to nurture a small business during this difficult time.
