Adding a simple trim to a curtain, cushion or throw can totally transform an otherwise bland item, plus they are super cheap and easy to apply OR you can make your own! We’ve been inspired by the fringed plant pots created by 91 stylist Laura Sawyer, which featured in the S/S issue…. such a simple idea for jazzing up plain pots and adding colour to your plant display.

And yes, pom poms are still alive and kicking at 91 HQ! Add a subtle trim to your bedspread and pillows, or go big and fluffy on a handmade rug. The humble pom pom somehow manages to get away with being both playful or chic depending on how you use them…

OK! Time to pay a visit to your local haberdashery or try London based BL Trimmings near Oxford Street as recommended by Laura, our stylist. Alternatively, go hunt out that pom pom maker!
