Team 91 is still buzzing with excitement and pride after last week’s launch party at Anthropologie. You can read all about it over here. Some of the highlights of the evening were the craft and styling workshops run by three brilliant creatives: interior stylist Laura Sawyer (who styled the Palm Sugar feature in the latest issue of 91), jewellery designer, craft maestro and writer Emma Mitchell (you can see her gorgeous papercraft tutorial on the 91 blog) and photographer, writer and tutor Emily Quinton of Makelight.
Laura and Emma collaborated on a papercraft workshop, creating beautiful seasonal blooms from tissue paper. Laura showed guests how to make cascading strings of wisteria petals, and Emma taught them to make peonies with a delicate blush.
Meanwhile, at the styling table, Emily was leading mini-masterclasses in photography and styling for Instagram, using an covetable selection of Anthropologie props alongside her trademark flowers. If you take a peek at #91magazinelaunch over on Instagram, you’ll see some of the images, and you can find out more about Emily’s courses here.
These pockets of creative joy really added to the party, and so many people left with a new skill, and something pretty to remember the evening by. A huge thank you from all of us here at 91 to Laura, Emma and Emily for sharing your time and expertise with such generosity. Do go and take a look at their work, if you haven’t already- scroll down to find all of their details.
All in all, it was a fabulous party. Of course we can’t take too much time dreaming of cocktails and chatting- we’re already hard at work on the next issue of 91, due out in November, In the meantime, copies of this issue are selling fast. If you don’t have a copy yet, buy one quick before they sell out! You can find a list of our stockists here, or buy online here.
