If you have read our A/W issue, you may have noticed that we enjoy a good cuppa here at 91 HQ. We shared some of our favourite tea shops and accessories, we visited the beautiful Tin Tabernacle Tearoom at Baileys and our Cook and Craft feature demonstrated ‘3 ways with tea’.
For many, (the 91 team included!) tea is what fuels a hectic work schedule, but also what we relax with at the end of a busy day. While teabags are super convenient, we all know that loose leaf tea is where it’s at, and ideally we should take the time to brew properly, and make that cuppa a little bit more of a special experience. But hey, let’s face it, sometimes we just don’t have the time or inclination to get out a teapot and strainer, especially when you are just making a cup of tea for one. So we are just a little bit thrilled to discover the Zenshi Tea Infuser Glass Cup from The Tea Makers of London.
Handmade by expert glass artisans, this innovative product allows you to brew one cup of tea without the need for a teapot. The simple design means you can reach the perfect strength for your preference as you watch it brew.
Pop the lid on to keep the tea warm and then once you’re happy with the strength, simply lift out the infuser. It fits perfectly into the upturned lid, meaning no drips, and it’s super easy to dispose of the leaves and clean too.
The Tea Makers of London have a wonderful selection of loose speciality teas to choose from, ranging from ever popular black teas to fabulous flowering teas to caffeine-free chai. We tried out their Herbal & White Tea Trio Collection – which this rosebud blend came from. Initially I worried it would be too floral for my taste, but it really wasn’t – it was smooth and delicate and not at all overpowering.
We’re thrilled that the lovely folk at The Tea Makers of London are offering the chance for one of our readers to win one of these lovely infuser cups along with the same trio of tea we tried out! This takes me back to our A/W issue, in which you may have spotted our latest Instagram hashtag project – #91magazine_myquietcuppa? We’d love to see your quiet moments enjoying a good old brew and if you add the tag to your image, you will be in with a chance of winning this lovely gift from the Tea Makers of London. We will accept entries up until 14th December 2016, after which will choose our favourite image to win. Please note the giveaway is open to UK entries only. Good luck! Now go and put the kettle on! 😉
