Sneak peek at Volume 10!

Save & share

Volume 10 is on it’s way folks – publishing at the beginning of October, just in time for those cosy nights wrapped in a blanket with a steaming cuppa. This issue will always stand out for me as ‘the one created during the global pandemic’. We actually had our biannual editorial team meeting in London planned for the week that the country went into full lockdown, meaning we, like so many others, took our discussions onto Zoom.

The biggest challenge for us was the fact that photoshoots were off the cards, at least for the first few months, meaning we had to work that little bit harder to source beautiful existing photography or work with those who could shoot their own spaces. This might not sound that challenging, but when you are trying to curate a coherent edit of features that are based around a theme, it does start to become trickier! But here we are, we did it! I’m so proud of our team for all their hard work pulling this issue together under difficult circumstances and I am as thrilled as ever with how it has turned out.

The theme we chose for this issue is Nurture. It was an idea I’d had on my list for a while, and as we discussed it at that editorial meeting during the first week of lockdown back in March, we agreed this concept fitted perfectly with what we believed the world needed and would continue to need as we steer our way through the months (and possibly years) ahead. This year has brought so much devastation on so many levels, but as we weather the storm, we all need to focus on taking care of ourselves, both in mind and body, the planet around us (as climate change hasn’t gone away) and our livelihoods, adapting and nurturing our careers and small businesses.

With all of this in mind, we have moulded this issue around these ideas. Don’t worry, the magazine is still an escape from reality in many ways, but I believed it was impossible to create an edition during this poignant period in our lives and not reference it in some shape or form.

I hope you will enjoy every page and will be able to absorb the love that has went into creating it. It’s now possible to PRE-ORDER (receiving it in early October) or you can SUBSCRIBE which gives you two issues, this one and then the following one which publishes in April 2021. Without further ado, here is a sneaky peek at a few of the lovely images you will find amongst the pages of Volume 10….
