On a cold January day, it’s hard to imagine that Spring is just around the corner. Whilst waiting for it to arrive, why not spend some time making these sweet vintage inspired seed boxes? They are perfect for the gardener in your life, or for lovers of nostalgia. This project, by Jeska Hearne of Lobster and Swan, uses match boxes and scraps of vintage paper to make the sweetest little gift boxes, ready to be filled with seeds of your choice. The boxes can be personalised in any way that you like: Jeska suggests packaging herb or spice seeds for a keen cook, or how about sprinkling in some Forget-Me-Not seeds for the one you love this Valentine’s Day? When the warm weather finally comes, sowing the seeds will be a pleasure, and of course the boxes can always be re-filled for next year…
